I just want to say I've been reading all the posts on this board and I have something to say to you beginners that are posting all the questions. Guitar is not something that can just be mastered in a certian amount of time, even the Gods of guitar would tell you that there is still a lot they could learn, there is no book that will teach you everthing you need to know, there is no one thing someone can say to you that will make you play better, you need to quit wasting your time asking questions on this board and just go play your guitar. Buy some of your favorite artists sheet music books study them any chance you have and practice the songs over and over and listen to the song on the cd over and over listening to the strumming patterns and the chord changes and the solos, practicing with a buddy or two really helps as well. Then if you come across something you don't understand how to do, like playing harmonics or muting a note then come back to this message board and ask someone to explain to you how to do it. And also have fun with the instrument, playing guitar is one of the coolest things there is to do and even if you don't know a whole look about it and you can't play like jimi hendrix (which only a handful of people come close any way) you can still have a damn good time playing it.
