When I replaced the strings on my bass the strings were on the fret board. Now the strings are in the nut and one the brindge line. The strings are also tightened to near breaking point. Please tell me why this is happening because it is starting to really piss me off.

i have been playing bass guitar for about 5 months and have strated up a band with my mats. i dont know where to start. i need to write some bass lines, but i also have to learn the instrument. how do i learn how to write bass lines? help me please?

If I tune my Gibson Les Paul Standard and my PRS with a Boss chromatic tuner set at 440HZ they do not sound in tune with eachother. If you tune the PRS at 445HZ and the Les Paul at 440HZ they are in tune. I have done this with a Tascom tuner with the same result. Any Idea what is happening? No electronic boxes are in the circuit and this is the case using either the microphone or the cord connection to the tuner.
