It does not matter what age you started. It is all about focus and determination. I am 21 and a music major in college and I started playing when I was 17. I have only been playing for four years but I can blow the hell out of just about anyone in my area. Remember that music is an art of expression not of who is better than who. If you really want to become a great guitarist one day I recomend that you prepare yourself for alot of practice and patience. Trust me it does not just happen over night. It is only about 10percent natural gift and the other 90percent is busting your ass. Learn some basics of classical and jazz guitar from someone that knows what the hell they are doing. Trust me on this. Even if you hate classical and jazz. It will expand your horizons on the guitar by tremendous amounts.
