Who is the greatest guitar player of all to me? I think Joe Satriani. Why is he the greatest guitar player of all time to me? Because, he has a good understanding of the notes on the guitar and when he plays a song each riff is unique to the last while maintaining a common structure. He moves up and down the neck in a free flowing complex way at the same time following a simple rhythm. His feature no singing, this is great to me because I like can listen for hours and days without getting words stuck in my head. He is also playing progressive hard rock blue which is my favorite kind of music and he plays with a lot of feeling, I can feel it and when I saw him live I could see it.
